Her water just broke

I was so proud of my firstborn when she said: “Daddy peepee”. Little confused I asked if she needs to peepee. She replied with more serious tone and visible in a hurry: “Daddy peepeee!!!” I ran to our bathroom to bring her pink potty because she can only hold for a few seconds. I put it on a changing table and then put daughter on it. She said even more louder to put her down on the floor. And she did it! I was so happy about the fact that she did it on herself. It was second time this day! A few minutes later I hear my wife said. Come into baby’s room. She said it calmly. When I got there she said: “My water just broke”, with a smile on her face.

Our baby was already 3 days late so I was pretty happy it has finally begun and in a natural way. We packed things for the hospital and soon arrived at the local hospital. This time fully prepared my wife told the midwife about how she wishes her birth to happen. Important notes were she wishes to do it naturally and wait for her contractions to start. It was in the evening when we arrived at the hospital and midwife said it could take a while and if I want I can get home to get some rest. I chose to stay with my wife during the night. But I soon wished I didn’t because it was hard for me to get a decent rest. At 10 am next day my wife got her own contractions. And they were pretty strong too. I was so happy and grateful that we are finally in action. To my surprise she didn’t have much problem with contractions but there was some pain in her back that was causing some serious pain. Midwife suggested a painkiller that lasted for an hour and she took it. It was the right decision to take it because this helped her to make a room for the baby and it wasn’t 2pm since she delivered second daughter! Most happiest moment seeing your wife in one peace and healthy daughter. I prayed that everything would be alright with my wife and with my daughter and Jesus listened to my prayers. I was overwhelmed with joy and happiness holding my daughter in one hand and holding my wife’s hand in another
