A few months ago I red about a daughter who said she wished she had more memories about her father, about family time and how she loved reading those few journal posts when he wrote it. Then I also found out, on some social media site, about a mother who writes each day a few lines to her daughters. Now I will try to write a few lines for one week and see how it goes.
Today I had very special moment with my OD so lets begin with OD. We went for a long walk because you just love jumping puddles. So we got ready with boots and umbrella and enjoyed rain for nearly two hours. At the end of the walk your legs got tired and for a moment I thought you are not gonna make it back home. But I used my daddy powers and showed you how to rest in squat position which gave you just enough boost to finish our walk. Of course, you then tried to exploit this rest feature every 5 meters but I tricked you when I showed you new puddles to jump on. When I got you ready for a night sleep you were at the peak of your tiredness. Again I used my daddy powers and calmly helped you to understand that you can do it, that we can do it and as I was gentle and cheerful you finally calmed down (loudness and waving with your hands like a hummingbird) and that look on your face when I know I helped you through your irritation, when even you don’t know why you are like that is making me confident as a father and I know I am doing it right.
YD: When I dropped you at your nanny you didn’t hesitate to get your breakfast which is a good thing because last thing I want is a crying baby when I need to go to work. If you walk away from me in the morning you run towards me when I pick you up at nanny’s. Your smile while running towards me literally brings one of the greatest-warm feelings in me. You almost always jump in my lap like a lioness :) And I love hugging you and holding you. When you got home I red you a Noa’s Ark story and you made me laugh when when you were repeating my silly acting on how a lightning strikes. I love how you just climb on your kitchen table and just take food and almost scream: “am am am am” :)
I wish you both good night my little daughters :)
